Titanium rewards separation more than almost anything else we take. Alloy and commercially pure material look similar and price very differently, so a mixed container is graded as whatever the cheapest thing in it is. If you know what you have, say so — and if you do not, keep it apart until someone checks.
Machining swarf, graded on grade and on how wet it is. Keep alloy and CP turnings in separate bins.

Grading is not our invention and it is not a negotiating tactic — it is how this material is priced everywhere. Knowing which grade you are holding is the difference between being paid for it and being paid for the cheapest thing in the container.

| Ti-6Al-4V | The workhorse alloy, and the one most often seen off aerospace and downhole work. Grade 5. |
| CP grades 1–4 | Commercially pure titanium. Graded separately from alloy, always. |
| Turnings | Priced on grade, oil and moisture. Segregation at the machine is worth more than any sorting we can do later. |
| Mixed | Alloy and CP together, or titanium mixed with other metal. Graded conservatively — this is the avoidable loss. |
Handled as a separated stream. Where a lot is a controlled article rather than plain scrap, it goes through documented demilitarization before it is anywhere near a furnace.
One offer covering removal, freight and the metal. Because we own the furnace there is a floor under the number, and we can price it without finding a buyer first.

Everything is re-weighed here and the ticket goes to you. Chemistry on blended product is verified by an independent laboratory, not by us. What comes out.
Most jobs arrive as a mix. Separated metal prices as itself, so it is worth knowing what else is in the pile. All metals we buy.
