G.A. RITTENHOUSE
We pick up your spent brass, sort out the steel and aluminum, deal with any live rounds mixed in, and melt it in our own Houston furnace. Sell it to us outright, or have us toll it — your call.
We own the furnace. Your brass doesn’t pass through a broker on its way to a smelter — it comes to ours, in Houston. Fewer hands in the middle is why we can pay more, or charge less.
Buckets, drums or gaylords of floor sweepings — mixed calibers, mixed metals, dirt and all.
Rejected cases, off-spec loaded rounds, process scrap and line clean-outs.
Qualification and training-range brass, with documented handling from pickup to melt.
Range brass you bought but don’t want to sort or can’t melt. We’ll take it off your yard.

Range brass is never just brass. Steel and aluminum cases, stray projectiles and the occasional live round all end up in the same bucket.
We sort it before we price it, so your brass is paid as brass — not marked down to the value of whatever is mixed in with it.
We collect from your site. Anywhere on the Gulf Coast, usually within a day of scheduling. Nationwide by arrangement.
Brass, steel and aluminum cases are separated, because each is worth something different and you should be paid for each.
Loaded rounds that end up in the bucket go through our proprietary popping furnace, so nothing live reaches the melt. You get a certificate of destruction.
Clean, sorted brass becomes smelter feedstock — in our furnace, or shipped to yours if you toll.

Most brass buyers are a stop on the way to somebody else’s smelter. We are the smelter.
One price, paid on our scale tickets. Best when you want the brass gone and the money now.
You keep ownership. We sort, demil and process it for a fee, and you get the recovered metal or its value back. Best on large, steady volumes.
Tell us roughly how much you have. We’ll price both and tell you which pays you more.

Either. Most ranges sell it to us outright. High-volume generators often do better on a tolling arrangement. We’ll price both.
That’s normal. Tell us on the form. Live and defective rounds are separated and run through our proprietary popping furnace before anything is melted, and you receive a certificate of destruction for them.
Yes. We sort them out of the brass so the brass is paid as brass, and buy the steel and aluminum separately.
There’s no fixed minimum. Tell us roughly what you have and we’ll tell you what makes sense — a pickup now, or adding to your pile until a load makes the trip worthwhile.
Yes. Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle are next-day country for our trucks. We work nationwide on larger loads.
Everything is weighed on certified scales and you get the weight tickets.
Only your name and email are required. A photo of the pile or the buckets is the fastest way to a number.
